Club Fees

There are two separate fees that you have to pay when joining the Chess Club.

Firstly, you will need to become a Member of the Ivanhoe Social Club. The fees for this are as follows:

Full Member - £45 pa
Over 65 - £35 pa
Young Adult (18 - 25) - £25 pa

Secondly, if you intend to play league chess for the Club, or to play in any internal rated competitions, you will need to become a Member of the English Chess Federation. You will need to join at either Bronze Level or Gold Level. If you are only playing in local competitions organised by the Club or the LRCA you will only need Bronze Membership. However, if you intend to play in Congresses or tournaments outside the jurisdiction of the LRCA you will need Gold Membership.

You can join the ECF, or renew your Membership, by going to www.bit.ly/ecfrenew. The ECF year runs from the 1st September to the 31st August, so most people would normally join or renew at about this time. This is about the time that most League seasons start. However, you can join the ECF at any time and your Membership will run for one year from the 1st of the month in which you join. So if, for example, you joined on the 20th June your Membership will run from the 1st June until the 31st May the following year.

ECF Bronze Membership is £20 pa
ECF Gold Membership is £34 pa
