There was a relatively sparse turnout at the Club last night, mainly due to the fact that Ashby 1 and Ashby 4 were both involved in league matches.
Graham Bird and John Howlett played their 5th round Club Championship match, which resulted in a draw. Steve Emmerton and Chris Tipper also played their 5th round Club Championship match, also resulting in a draw.
Brian Wood and Ian Maskery played their outstanding match in the 2024 U1450 Championship, resulting in a win for Ian. This match obviously had no affect on the Championship, but was played for the purposes of rating.
We welcomed a new player to the Club last night - Daniel Vernon. We have given him an estimated rating of 1000 and he has been added to the list of entrants in the 2025 U1450 Championship. He has been given a half point bye in the first round as he is a latecomer and now gives us an uneven number of players in the competition.
