Last night's AGM was extremely well attended, as was the End Of Season Dinner beforehand.
Neil will be issuing the Minutes of the Meeting in due course and they will be published on the website.
However, I would just like to mention a few things.
Firstly, a big thank you to Jan Oldham for comimg forward to take over from Andrew Wilson as Club Secretary.
Secondly, we were asked if it would be possible for internal friendly games to be rated. The answer to this is Yes, and I have created a Rated Friendlies Event using the ECF League Management System software. However, these games, although friendlies, must be treated seriously and played under normal League rules regarding the use of clocks and notating the games. We cannot just submit knockabout games for rating. If you play a rated friendly then please notify me of the result, including who had what colour, and I will enter it on to the system and it will be automatically added to a rating file, which is sent to the ECF once a week. Pobably the easiest way to notify me of any results is via the Contact Form on the left hand side of this page.
Thirdly, I asked that you all keep me notified of any tournaments or congresses that you are playing in. I notice that the next local event coming up is the Leicester Rapidplay on the 13th July. If any of you are playing in that then please let me know.
